Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing service organization in Omaha, Nebraska. This role supports core accounting operations by helping maintain accurate financial records, assisting with close activities, and ensuring cash and balance sheet transactions are properly recorded. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel capabilities, a careful approach to reconciliations, and the persistence to research issues thoroughly and drive them to completion.

Responsibilities:
• Record and verify incoming cash transactions to ensure timely and accurate posting within the accounting system.
• Maintain general ledger accounts by preparing entries, reviewing activity, and supporting the accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, including account analysis and preparation of supporting documentation.
