Staff Accountant

Essential Functions The Staff Accountant supports a broad variety of accounting functions and works independently at an expert level with minimal supervision; may include all or a subset of the following :

• Performs a wide range of activities in fixed asset management, specifically in areas of accountability, recording, reporting and problems resolution.


• Performs complex account reconciliation and account analysis; defines problem or issue, interprets, and conducts comprehensive analysis which may include data trends, deviation from standards; forecasting and cost benefit analysis.
• Reviews, records, and reports financial transactions in accordance to established accounting principles (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP), policies and objectives.
• Develops nonstandard reports and statements, i.e., those containing cash forecasts reflecting the interrelations of accounting, cost budgeting, or comparable information.
