Staff Software Engineer, Product Engineering, Canada (Toronto)

Overview

We’re looking for a versatile product engineer who can create reusable building blocks across the stack and champion the time and space to do so. At Ashby, all engineers ship end‑to‑end features at a high pace and serve customers such as Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake.

Role

• Own a large portion of a product and manage end‑to‑end projects.
• Research competitors, write product specifications, design wireframes, and develop final solutions.
• Design and implement an automated interview scheduling feature that calculates possible times from a pool and presents candidate options.
• Build a generalized declarative filter architecture that allows users to create complex filters and compile them to SQL.
• Spec, design, and deliver a feature that lets users complete signing offers entirely within Ashby’s web app.
