STATE REGISTERED NURSE, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Enrolled Nurse would be responsible for the preparation of all radiological interventional trolleys, observation and nursing care to patient in the department and assist radiographers and radiologist in certain X-ray procedures.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• To prepare, observe and assist radiologist in interventional procedures.
• To help implement the policies and procedures for the department in liaison with the management.
• To help train radiographers and other staff to familiar with the Emergency trolley and code blue procedures and other interventional procedures.
• To check Emergency Trolley according to check list daily. To appoint one staff to assist do daily checking and calibration of the trolley when not in the department.
• To help Chief radiographer check stock level and indent stock whenever stock is not adequate.
• To ensure highest patient care is rendered at all times.
