Job Description

COHO IS is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Technician (also known as Medical Supply Technician) to augment current VA staffing on an as-needed basis to the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (PVAHCS) at 650 East Indian School Road Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
The Sterile Processing Service Technician shall rotate assignments among the various sterilization, process, decontamination, surgical/ dental tray assembly, flexible endoscope reprocessing, reusable inventory, medical equipment processing, and quality assurance functions.
Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, and disinfects scope trays and equipment following established tray lists and manufactures recommendations.
Promotes best practice by demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care.
Maintains accurate records and inventory of supplies.
