A leading company in the industrial manufacturing sector is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to take ownership of assigned direct material categories, including critical and complex components, finished goods, and raw materials sourced domestically and internationally.
- Develop and maintain category strategies that reduce supply risk and ensure business continuity.
- Assess supply chain risk across multiple tiers (Tier 1, 2, 3) and implement mitigation plans accordingly.
- Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance through development programs and lean manufacturing practices.
- Enhance supply chain resilience by pursuing dual sourcing and localized supply strategies.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers; manage RFQ processes and evaluate proposals based on defined criteria to optimize and rationalize the global supply base.
