Student Respiratory Care Practitioner Intern

Job Summary:

The Student Respiratory Care Practitioner Intern is a respiratory care student who practices at the level they have achieved in their curriculum under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Community Benefit funds this non-benefitted summer temporary position of up to 240 hours per student annually.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Working under the direct supervision of a Respiratory Care mentor employed by the facility.

+ Student Respiratory Care Practitioner Interns shall only perform tasks for which they have been previously deemed competent by their educational institution, including respiratory skills, organizational skills, priority setting, and sound clinical decision-making.

+ Student Respiratory Care Practitioner Interns shall provide a list of tasks for which they are competent, as approved by their educational institution, to perform under the guidance of a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
