Student Services Coordinator

Overview

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the Learning Environment, the Learning Environment Specialist assists in implementing learning environment programming for the School of Medicine (SOM) and School of Health Professions (SHP) for the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. This role will provide programmatic staff support in the following areas: student mistreatment, student conduct and professionalism, and educational outreach.

This is a dynamic role designed for an emerging student affairs professional eager to impact the “hidden curriculum” of medical and health professions education. You will be the boots-on-the-ground support for programs that ensure our learning spaces remain professional, psychologically safe, and free from mistreatment.
