Student Worker - FYEX 100 Peer Mentor Fall 2026

Job Summary/Basic Function

FYEX Peer Mentors are student leaders who support first-year students enrolled in FYEX (First Year Experience) courses. Peer Mentors serve as role models, offer academic and social support, and work collaboratively with faculty to foster student engagement, belonging, and success during the transition to university life. Mentors assist students with navigating campus, and questions that come along with being a new student. They are also a resource for the faculty member’s FYEX class and assist faculty where necessary. Required Qualifications

Recommended by a FYEX faculty member 

Enrolled as a Millersville University undergraduate student in good academic and disciplinary standing.

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Good communication & organizational skills

Ability to engage with other students

Complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse...
