Supervisor, Blood Bank - Lab - Administration

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Blood Bank Supervisor provides leadership to the section staff & oversight for the operations. Serves as a facilitator, organizational liaison, technical advisor & mentor for the staff. Problem solves & resolves issues related to staffing & operations. Manages the financial requirements for designated laboratory programs. As part of the Laboratory Leadership Team, participates in departmental improvement & strategic planning. Provides advanced practical and theoretical skills as required to perform, evaluate, and determine the reliability of test results and procedures. Responsible for compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements including but not limited to AABB, FDA, CADPH, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA.
