Scope: Supervises and controls the activities of one shift, sub‑section or small work group within a department of operations where there is similar activity performed.

• Provides supervision with operational focus to a group or groups of employees by developing and directing work schedules and monitoring workflow to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Provides direction to employees to achieve assignments according to established timelines, policies and management guidance. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
• Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
• Has financial impact only within the scope of immediate activities.
• Financial decisions are typically made by next‑level management.
