Job Description
Job Summary The NDT Supervisor is responsible for carrying out and overseeing non-destructive testing (NDT) activities across shipbuilding, repair, and conversion projects. Key Responsibilities
- Perform NDT methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT, and VT on hull structures, piping systems, and critical components
- Interpret test results and identify defects against acceptance criteria
- Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with approved procedures and relevant codes/standards
- Supervise and guide NDT technicians (if assigned), ensuring work is carried out correctly and safely
- Coordinate inspection activities with production teams to minimise disruption to operations
- Liaise with classification surveyors and client representatives during inspections
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely Work Done Reports (WDR)
- Maintain proper records of inspection results, calibration logs, and consumables
