Description
As the Sealing Supervisor, you will plan, organise, direct, and control the activities and operations of chip seal surfacing across the Masterton Region. This includes managing and supervising the sealing crew to ensure optimal resource management.
Role
Previous experience in a supervisory or foreperson role within the civil engineering industry is required, with a strong focus on health and safety. You should have:
- Knowledge of sealing specifications and procedures, and experience with bitumen or emulsion use (advantageous)
- Technical experience in sealing treatment selection, binder application rates, and site‑specific adjustments
- Practical experience with chip sealing
- Ability to drive projects and complete them within specified time frames
- High standard of workmanship
- Demonstrated leadership behaviours that empower others
- Strong problem‑solving skills
