Job Description
Summary These vacancies are located in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS). The incumbent will serve as either the National Wildlife Disease Coordinator or National Rabies Coordinator providing national leadership in strategic planning, development, coordination, and implementation of cooperative programs designed to contain, monitor and eliminate wildlife diseases. Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Interacts in a technical and representational capacity with various federal, state departments, and other organizations on issues involving wildlife disease surveillance.
