Summary This position serves as Chief Investigator within the Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (OHMS), Field Operations. The position serves as a first line supervisor of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration's (PHMSA) regional hazardous materials investigation staff. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Compliance Investigator (Chief Investigator), you will: Supervise and Mentor the Regional Investigation Team at the GS-13 level and below, guiding them in conducting investigations, and diverse enforcement initiatives. Additionally, you will take the lead in managing intricate investigations and scrutinizing reports for precision. Your role extends to serving as the principal advisor to the Regional Directors and Deputy Associate Administrator for Field Operations on matters of public safety policy.
