Supervisory Medical Support Assistant

Summary The position is a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant within Surgical Care at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. The primary duties of the Supervisory MSA are to have full responsibility for supervising subordinate MSA team leader(s) and advanced MSAs who perform a variety of administrative support functions in connection with Veteran's outpatient visits, care, and treatments, while working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery mode. Responsibilities The MSA Supervisor at this level plan and direct MSA programs at the Medical Center underneath the Surgical Service Line. They have full responsibility for supervising subordinate MSA team leads and numerous advanced medical support assistants across the clinics, consult teams, and call centers.
