Supervisory Policy Advisor

Summary This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Diversion Control Division, Regulatory Drafting & Policy Support Section (DPW), Arlington, VA. This position's primary purpose is to evaluates legislation and current and past policies, analyzes the diversion regulatory program and related issues, conducts a retrospective analysis of existing regulations, and recommends policy and regulatory resolutions that are consistent with statutory and executive mandates. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Policy Advisor your typical work assignments may include: Developing policy statements, regulations, and legislation in anticipation of new trends in state legislation or industry and health professions. Supervising and evaluating studies of current and future developments in regulations, laws, and policies of other federal agencies, state, local and foreign governments and within the regulated industries and health professions.
