Surgery Scheduler

SUMMARY   The role of the surgical coordinator is to schedule surgeries for patients and surgeons.  The surgical coordinator will work as a liaison between the hospital and/or surgery center to schedule procedures and also coordinate with all patients.  This role requires excellent customer service skills with patients, employees, and the public.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Reports to Clinic Supervisor and Practice Administrator Schedule hospital or surgery center based medical procedures, for patients with appropriate provider and time/location, slot, and appropriate codes.

Coordinate medical/surgical clearance exam and testing with patient’s primary care physicians and report such findings to the facility.

Interface with appropriate hospital staff to ensure a cohesive working relationship in providing patient care services.
