*Job Description:* Dr. Mas’s laboratory within the Surgical Sciences Division at the Department of Surgery, University of Maryland is seeking a highly motivated and creative Assistant Professor researcher with a strong research background in molecular and cellular biology. Research in our lab focuses on epigenetic and genetic mechanisms of pathologic conditions that occur during liver and kidney transplantation by using state-of-the-art technologies such as single cell genomics. Selected candidates will perform highly interdisciplinary and translational scientific research involving human cell lines, mouse models, and clinical samples. The selected candidate will work together with the main lab PI in ongoing studies and establishing the basis for career independence during the next two years by submitting common (co-PI) and independent grants to Federal and non-Federal Funding agencies.
