Surgical Tech Coordinator

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

The surgical technologist clinical coordinator will provide support to the OR RN Clinical Coordinator to coordinate the evaluation, ordering, and implementation of instrumentation, equipment and supplies within a specific service line. The position works collaboratively with the Sterile Processing Department and service line physicians.

+ Works with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator to evaluate surgeon requests for new instruments.
+ Coordinates with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator, Sterile Processing manager, vendors and surgeon offices for specific surgical case needs.
+ Works with materials management & sterile processing staff and OR RN Clinical Coordinator to inventory specialty items, check outdates on products, and talk to product representatives about costs and requested products. Periodically reviews specialty case cart supplies, custom packs, etc., to determine cost effectiveness.
