General Summary of Position
Performs a variety of technical duties to assist with surgery. Provides expert services in at least one specialty area. Assists with precepting of staff and students.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Anticipates sequential needs of the surgeon/physician during the procedure. Assists with case preparation following preference card guidelines. Collaborates with Resource Nurse and Perioperative Educator on the development and provision of competency- based orientation. Precepts staff and students. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards.
