Swine Technician

Job Description

• Responsible for the daily care, health, and welfare of the swine. This role requires strict adherence to biosecurity protocols, animal welfare standards, and production schedules. While this is a hands‑on labor position, it serves as the foundational training ground for future farm management.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by farm management and veterinary protocols.
• Monitor feed and water systems daily to ensure proper intake and equipment functionality; clear feed jams as necessary.

Requirements

• Graduate in BS Animal Science or any related field in agriculture
• With or without experience
• Ability to safely and humanely handle pigs
• Familiarity in Swine husbandry practices, equipment, and technology
• Has ability to record and monitor animal health, behavior, and production data
