Job Description
Summary The Office of Financial Management (AFM) provides financial oversight and information on the use of agency financial resources. The Cost Accounting & Labor Distribution Division is responsible for providing the full cost of FAA products and services. Personnel costs are a substantial part of the FAA cost structure and must be reported accurately. Cost Accounting System collects data on these costs in the form of projects and tasks to provide reports on labor/non-labor costs to FAA management. Responsibilities The Systems Accountant position is located within the Cost Accounting Branch (AFM-410) and is an individual contributor applying legislative and executive guidance including Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) concepts and standards, Department of Treasury, General Accountability Office (GAO) guidance, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars to implement FAA¿s cost accounting policies, procedures, and practices, under the minimal direction of a ...
