Systems Engineer - Open Mission Systems

Job Description
An employer is seeking a Systems Engineer with a focus on Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Open Systems Architecture (OSA) to support the full lifecycle development of modular, interoperable mission systems, from conceptual design through product phase-out. In this role, you will work in a fast‑paced, deliverable‑driven environment with a strong emphasis on system integration, verification, and test (I&T) across standards-based architectures aligned to government OMS and MOSA initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and end customers to design, integrate, and validate open, plug-and-play mission capabilities leveraging frameworks such as OMS/UCI (Universal Command and Control Interface), FACE (Future Airborne Capability Environment), CMOSS, and GRA (Generic Reference Architecture), as well as modern digital engineering environments like VIDA and AMS.
