We are seeking a 1.0 FTE Continuing Indigenous Student Success Teacher. 2 Positions.

About the District

SD 71 is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island in the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation.

Responsibilities

• Build strong connections with Indigenous students through mentorship, regular check‑ins, and welcoming, supportive spaces.
• Support student success by monitoring attendance, academics, graduation progress, and assisting with school transitions.
• Work with staff to provide culturally responsive support, track student progress, and participate in support planning.
• Promote Indigenous culture, identity, and belonging through cultural activities, land‑based learning, and community connections.
