Teacher of Mathematics and Further Mathematics

The Teacher of Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching with the aim of helping students master the key concepts of Mathematics and use them to interpret the world around them. The Teacher of Mathematics must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and clear way.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the routine and extra-curricular life of the school, as well as that of the department. Notably, the successful applicant would be expected to be able to teach Further Mathematics at A-Level, as well as support our most able pupils with the UKMT Maths Olympiads.

A balanced Maths programme, incorporating and extending beyond most of the features of the KS3 National Curriculum, is taught to pupils in Year 7 and 8.
