This role serves as the subject matter expert responsible for ensuring operational, quality, and technical accuracy across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures within specific lab departments.
The role. The Technical Specialist functions as the senior-level expert within their assigned laboratory area, identifying, analyzing, and solving problems as they arise to maintain the integrity of lab operations. The incumbent is expected to perform all duties outlined in the Medical Lab Scientist and Medical Lab Scientist Senior job descriptions — or the Histotechnologist job descriptions as applicable — as directed by the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
