Technician I - Fiber

Job Summary:

The Technician I - Fiber is responsible for all aspects, of Fiber including but not limited to installing, terminating, testing, and splicing.
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Cabling & Termination
•The Technician I - Fiber must have basic copper termination skills
•The Technician I - Fiber will install a work area outlet for the floor, modular furniture, andwall (terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks. Mount faceplates and surface mount boxes to IES COMMUNICATIONS labeling standards).
•The Technician I - Fiber will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross-connects,racks, patch panels, fiber optic, and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment,and cable as required. Complete all IDC connections (. terminate 110/66 blocks andpatch panels).
