Job DescriptionPosition: Ditch Maintenance / RepairDepartment: Raw WaterReports To: Water MasterStatus: TemporaryGeneral DescriptionUnder general supervision, works as a member of a crew to efficiently perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on the water system and other facilities; performs other related work as required.Essential FunctionsPerforms maintenance on ditches, pipelines, flumes, siphons, weirs, easements, and meters, and conducts repairs as needed.Removes debris, objects, and obstructions from open ditches.Clears brush and fells trees.Operates hand and power tools and equipment.Assists with operation of gunite machine; handles and maneuvers conveyor hose.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
