Job Description
Overview
Our client, based in the South Manchester area near Stockport, is looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to start straight away.
The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm. Pay is £15–16per hour PAYE. Initially the role will start through the agency, but if both you & the client are happy after a brief trial period the role will become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
- Read and understand engineering drawings to carry out fabrication.
- Work with a variety of metals to produce high‑quality work.
- Work in a small team and manage own small welding jobs independently.
Requirements
- Skilled or qualified in welding (mainly TIG) and able to read drawings.
- Experience working with sheet metal beneficial.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
