Job Description
**Position Summary**
The Stainless Steel TIG Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welds on stainless steel piping systems in a controlled fabrication shop environment. This role requires precision, consistency, and the ability to meet production goals while maintaining strict quality standards for mechanical piping systems.
**Position Details**
+ Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel pipe (primarily Sch 10 / Sch 40)
+ Maintain proper argon purge techniques to prevent sugaring/oxidation
+ Operate positioners / rotators for roll welding
+ Produce welds that meet:
+ Visual inspection standards
+ X-ray / RT quality (when required)
+ Follow WPS/PQR procedures
**Qualifications**
+ Certified Journeyman-level welder (or ability to obtain prior to hire)
+ This position is covered by a local union collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
