Reports To: Sales and Estimating Department Manager
Supervises: None
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate the work and material content for every task to be completed within the RFQ.Build a manufacturing plan within Visual Manufacturing estimating window to include labor costs, material costs and outside process costs.Maintain knowledge of the tool manufacturing market, the competition, labor rates, sub-tier suppliers, Work in Progress (WIP), work backlog and corporate resources.Keep in communication with the Sales staff regarding estimates, feedback, and any special requirements.Interaction with customers regarding questions or special requirements.Contribute to corporate quality policy and objectives.Evaluate estimating projects for significant quality risks.Read and understand Statement of Work and incorporate all special requests in quotes.
