Transit Driver II (Part-time)

Description

Transport passengers in a safe manner on the city buses; pick up/drop off the passengers at the desired stops; count passenger numbers, tokens and money; fill out passenger trip sheets; and inform passengers of bus stop options and schedule information.

The essential functions of the job are not limited to those listed in the job description. The City retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.

Operates the bus by following fixed routes or trip manifest; completing accurate trip counts; complying with drivers’ operating policies and procedures; focusing on passenger needs and satisfaction; communicating with other bus drivers; maintaining a professional and courteous attitude towards other passengers and drivers; and observing safe driving practices.
