Transmission and distribition design engineer

Responsibilities Design of substation equipment and line termination gantry structures & Cable Sealing Ends. Design powerlines with PLS-CADD and powerline towers with PLS-Tower. The role will include Sag & tension calculations; Catenary Support System design; Line Profiling; Gantry analysis; Tower setting levels; Environmental loads; Insulator set design; Overhead Line Wire Clearance; Route plans; Material Quantification - Short Circuit Analysis. Involved with the Design of powerline structural foundations, including piled, pad, and rock-anchor foundations. Carry out the Investigation and proposed remedial actions for damaged or corroded structures: corroded structures (remaining life and remedial action): Substation structures; Power line structures (11k V to 400k V); Structural loading.
