Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe, legal and efficient operation of the company’s vehicle fleet, overseeing daily transport activities, compliance and logistics optimisation.
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet legal requirements (licences, MOT, tax, insurance, driver hours).
- Maintain vehicle standards and safe loading practices.
- Manage transport team, driving performance across cost, service, compliance and people KPIs.
- Ensure continuous, effective control of transport operations under the Operator’s Licence.
- Drive full regulatory compliance across drivers, vehicles and fleet operations, including tachograph management, driver hours and transport legislation.
- Oversee fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections and defect management to keep vehicles roadworthy and operationally efficient.
