- Requires utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment before patient studies.
- Injects patients with radioactive material as per physician's order following prescribed protocol.
- Observes all department documentation policies including logs, manuals, charge documents, and equipment problem reporting.
- Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
- Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
