- Provide excellent customer service and assist the patient care team by providing casting and medical assistance to licensed providers during patient scheduled clinic visits or patients in the emergency center.
- Apply casts, splints and perform basic hardware maintenance.
- Work with patients and families on all aspects of care.
- Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide education to families regarding cast maintenance and skin care after cast removal.
- Provide timely communication with the orthopedic team.
- Manage casting and clinic supplies, update PAR levels when needed and communicate regularly with person ordering supplies.
- Share responsibility of checking exam room supplies daily.
- Experienced cast tech with fiberglass and plaster casting experience required.
