Telecommunications Technician

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Installation and maintenance of all telecommunications circuits including phone, carrier, microwave and other wireless communications systems, two-way radio, analog, digital and fiber optic systems. Read and interpret communications circuit diagrams and equipment documentation. Use advanced diagnostic test equipment to isolate and repair problems. Work closely with information technology telecom engineers to plan the installation of communication facilities, equipment for new facilities or sites as required. Installation and maintenance of local area network and wide area network equipment to ensure connectivity to desktop and remote locations. Basic computer diagnostic skills to support mobile computer and wireless network services.
