Underground Truck Operator

Job Description

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role involves operating a large truck in our underground mine, transporting material from one location to another. The role offers the opportunity to develop a career in mining and the flexibility and lifestyle of a 50/50 roster, 7 days on / 7 days off alternating between day and night shift (12‑hour shifts).

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Operate large vehicles underground
• Pre‑start and shut‑down checks on all equipment
• Load and transport material
• Work as a member of a larger team
• Communicate with a wide variety of people
• Housekeeping of vehicles and loading area

Qualifications

• A full, clean, current driver’s license and confidence driving a manual vehicle
• Immediate working rights / Visa for New Zealand
