Job Summary – Unit Head, Biomedical Engineering

• Plans, executes and maintains an effective biomedical equipment management program for biomedical equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Participates in the technical evaluation for purchase of new/replacement equipment.
• Plans and coordinates contracted maintenance services undertaken by external vendors.
• Supervises, inspects and commission new project installation.
• Recommends equipment modification and/or fabrication of parts, if necessary.
• Provides technical advice and services pertaining to biomedical equipment.
• Updates and maintains an inventory list of biomedical equipment annually.
• Maintains effective systems and records required for effective departmental function.
• Sources and purchase spare parts for internal preventive maintenance services and repairs.
