Candidates should be certified or eligible for board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Experience with Varian TrueBeam accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning, Elekta HDR, and Gamma Knife is desirable. An or degree in Medical Physics or in a related field is required. In addition, programing skills, and enthusiasm for the latest technology would position the candidate very well for upcoming clinical/research projects.
The Radiation Medicine Department at MUSC is dynamic and growing. Current clinical faculty staffing at the main campus includes nine radiation oncologists and eight physicists. In addition, we have nice dosimetrists and dedicated IT support. The division of Medical Physics has a CAMPEP accredited radiation oncology physics residency program with two physics residents.
