Upward Bound Summer Instructor (Part-time)

General Description

Provide high school students, 9th-12th grade, with quality instruction geared towards ensuring the development of beneficial skills and content knowledge necessary for post-secondary success. This includes, but is not limited to, content knowledge pertaining to rigorous academic subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, History, and Foreign Language.

Rate of Pay:

Summer Component- $225 per 2-hour class, per class (i.e., 2 classes, $450 per-week)

Optional opportunity to teach an elective class for two days a week in Weeks 1-5, with a one time payment of $200 to be paid at the conclusion of the summer academy in July.

Essential Job Duties

Create student-centered lesson plans that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and/or subject mastery.

Share lesson plans and learning objectives with the Upward Bound Academic Coordinator as requested.
