Utility Fleet Technician I-Sr.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs equipment maintenance and repairs on vehicles in the shop and in the field and ensures proper maintenance of all equipment in the department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects and repairs equipment as necessary to ensure proper operation.  
• Travels to various jobsites and makes necessary adjustments or repairs on equipment in the field.  
• Purchases necessary parts and supplies to maintain equipment.  
• Performs gas and diesel engine repairs and repairs hydraulics.  
• Performs fabrication and welding, electrical troubleshooting and repairs heavy equipment.  
• Ensures fleet meets DOT requirements including vehicle inspections and air brakes including all documentation
