Position Overview
This is a client-facing role supporting our vessel clients in understanding vessel running costs against approved budgets and funding payments. The position provides accurate, complete, and timely financial reports with clear explanations. It also protects Wallem’s interests in revenue recognition and credit risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Communication:
- Serve as the main liaison for vessel clients and internal stakeholders on all accounting-related matters, including monthly financial reports, Opex budget discussions, funding requests, and variance analysis. For example, proactively communicate when Opex variances exceed thresholds, leading to early corrective actions and improved budget compliance.
- Clearly explain Opex variance reports to clients.
