Job Description
We are looking for volunteers to maintain and develop the gardens and grounds at The Nook hospice, ensuring they are tidy, safe and enjoyable for all.
Key Activities:
- Weeding
- Leaf collection
- Sweeping paths
- Planting, dead heading etc.
- Staining garden furniture
- Cleaning play equipment
- Mowing the lawn
- Any other duties related to the upkeep of grounds as required
Certain tasks will suit volunteers’ likes, dislikes and strengths and this should be taken into account when allocating tasks.
Volunteers are not expected to:
- Carry out the same role as a paid member of staff
- Undertake heavy, laborious or stressful tasks
- Be expected to undertake repetitive and prolonged tasks
