Duties/Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned
Cleaning & Washing: Operate automated aqueous washers, ultrasonic cleaners, or solvent degreasers to clean machined metal parts.Detailing & Deburring: Use manual tools (files, deburring tools, abrasive pads) to remove burrs, smooth edges, and remove residue from complex geometries.Inspection: Inspect parts for cleanliness, cosmetic defects (scratches, stains), and conformance to specifications using magnification tools.Part Finishing: Blend tool marks, polish surfaces, and apply rust inhibitors or coatings to finished parts.Documentation: Review shop travelers or blueprints for special instructions and maintain records of completed work. Safety & Organization: Adhere to safety procedures regarding chemical usage and PPE (masks, gloves, eye)
