Weights and Research Inspector

Overview Inspectors are responsible for verifying weight, calculating the density and properly classifying shipments tendered by our customers. All inspections completed are validated by following the DFL Rules Tariff and the provisions of the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC). When discrepancies are found by the inspector, an updated entry with the accurate information is entered into the computer system and a certificate is assigned to recover the revenue that is due to DFL for the shipment. Responsibilities * Develop positive relationships and promote teamwork and morale with all employees. * Practice safe work methods and encourage safety in daily operation. * Perform job responsibilities in a NON-temperature controlled, loud and dusty environment. * Reach, step, bend and maneuver to complete inspections inside of trailers and on the dock.
