WGN-TV – Part-Time Photographer/Editor

Join our News Team as a Part-Time Photographer/Editor.


Responsibilities:The Photographer/Editor is responsible for operating cameras, non-linear editing systems, microwave equipment, and cellular bonding equipment in support of electronic newsgathering operations.


Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or a related field, or equivalent experience required
+ Strong understanding of spot news coverage with an eye for creative storytelling
+ Ability to safely operate and maneuver a live truck
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
+ Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
+ Strong communication skills and sound editorial judgment
+ Familiarity with Chicago city streets is a plus
+ Experience with Adobe Premiere preferred
+ 3–5 years of television news gathering, editing, and microwave experience required
+ Valid driver’s license required
