Job Description
Join OSM Thome as a Wiper on a car carrier trading worldwide. Be part of the engine team, keeping the vessel’s machinery clean, safe, and in good working order while gaining solid sea experience and learning from senior crew.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Carry out cleaning and housekeeping in engine room and machinery spaces
- Assist engine officers and ratings with routine maintenance and repairs
- Handle basic greasing, wiping, and preparation of tools and spare parts
- Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times
- Take part in drills and other shipboard duties as assigned
- **Requirements**:
- Previous sea experience in engine department preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Hardworking, willing to learn, and able to work in a team
- Ready for worldwide trading and regular contracts at sea
