Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Plans, constructs, and repairs a variety of supply, shipping, and storage containers and similar items. Works from incomplete plans and makes modifications as needed Checks items of a difficult nature to be boxed or crated against shipping documents or invoices to ensure correct identification, quantity and condition Moves heavy equipment into position on prepared supporting platforms using hoists, jib cranes or requesting the assistance of riggers and crane operators Packs materials and equipment in standard/non-standard boxes or crates using proper wrappings, liners, or other protective devices in accordance with proper packing procedures Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations.
